Williamson Magor Scholarship

It is a matter of great pride that this year Sukanya Baruah and Upasana Nair of Assam Institute of Management PGDM (2016-2018) batch have been qualified for the “Williamson Magor Scholarship Scheme’ for the academic year 2017-2018. This is as a part of the CSR activities of Williamson Magor Group to encourage brilliant young students of Assam to pursue higher education at reputed institutions in India in the field of Business Management.The basis of selection was based on merit and means. The Scholarships are for the duration of the PG course amounting to 27000/- per annum. Williamson Magor & Co. Ltd, had a long history in the tea business dating back to the year 1868 and is considered to be one of the pioneers of the tea business in India. Williamson Magor is one of the largest tea plantations group in India, producing 75 million kg annually. This represents about a fifth of the total tea produced in Assam.
