FDP held at Assam Institute of Management (AIM)
Assam Institute of Management (A Government of Assam Society), organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) at its Boragaon campus on the theme “Emerging Dimensions of Management Education” sponsored by Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS)– Hyderabad on 2nd February, 2019. It started with an inaugural session delivered by Dr. Sujata Mangaraj, RVP (East), AIMS & Director cum Dean Academics, Bhavan’s Center for Communication and Management and Dr. Mukulesh Barua, Director and ONGC Chair Professor, AIM. The FDP involved four sessions with diverse topics like Accreditation and Quality Assurance, Curriculum and Pedagogy, and Design Thinking for Innovation. The sessions were taken by eminent resource persons including Prof.(Dr.) Sujata Mangaraj; Prof. Shantikam Hazarika, Former Director, AIM; Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Sarkar, School of Management, Tezpur University; and Prof. (Dr.) Mukulesh Barua. This was followed by a valedictory session and certificate distribution presided by Prof.(Dr.) Rattan Sharma, President AIMS & Principal Director, Delhi Business School, Prof.(Dr.) Sujata Mangaraj and Prof. (Dr.) Mukulesh Barua. The aforementioned FDP was followed by a Round Table of Deans and Directors of B-Schools on “Challenges of Business Schools in North-East Region and Role of AIMS” on 3rd February, 2019, organized by AIM in association with AIMS. The second day had lectures delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Rattan Sharma, Prof. (Dr.) Udaya Salunke, Group Director, former President of AIMS, Welingker Institute of Management, Prof. (Dr.) Mihir Kanti Choudhary, Advisor, Education Department, Government of Assam and Dr. Mridul Hazarika, Vice Chancellor, Gauhati University.
