The Institute accepts scores of the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) called ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions), MAT, XAT, CAT,CMAT etc On the basis of the marks scored in merit test and the information provided, shortlisted candidates are called for group discussions and interview at Guwahati for final selection

In order to enrich the input process AIM has empanelled a few visiting faculty members who introduce diversity, specialization and scope for sharing their own rich and varied background with the participants.
