The Foundation
Stone of permanent campus of the institute at Paschim
Boragaon was formally laid by the Hon'ble Chief Minister
of Assam, Shri Tarun Gogoi on April 25th, 2007. Amongst
a host of prominent dignitaries and officials were Shri
Hemanta Bishwa Sharma, Hon'ble Minister of Health, Science
and Technology, Shri Pradyut Bordoloi, Hon'ble Minister
Commerce, Industries and Power, Shri P.C. Sharma, IAS,
Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam and Shri
P.P. Verma, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government
of Assam.
Land measuring more than 16 bighas at Paschim Boragaon
has been allotted by the Government of Assam to Assam
Institute of Management to build the institute's permanent
campus.  |

The Government of Assam has already declared in
2006 that Assam Institute of Management will be
upgraded into a National Level Management Institute.
