The
Director of IIM Calcutta is an ex-officio member of the Governing
Body of AIM. In the inauguration of the PGDBM programme, 2009-10
Batch, Prof. Ashok Dutta of IIM Shillong promised to extend
his best possible help to AIM. He also encouraged the students
by stating that they were no less than their counterparts
at the IIMs if they harness their potential. The Institute
is a member of All India Management Schools (AIMS). Shri Shantikam
Hazarika, Director of the Institute is a member of the AIMS
Governing Council. The institute conducted a number of training
programme on contemporary topics in collaboration with institutes
like XLRI, IIMC, NITIE, ESCJ etc. The institute conducted
project evaluation studies with Institute like IIM Lucknow
and International Livestock Research Institute.
The North East Professional Institutes Forum (NEPIF) is operating
from its registered office at the institute. NEPIF is a joint
forum of twelve premier Engineering & Management Institutes
of North East India, endorsed by the institute authorities
and registered under societies registration act 1860. NEPIF
has already organized several common placement events for
its member institutes, where such prestigious organizations
as ICICI Bank, Genpact, Satyam, Colgate Palmolive, Capgemini,
TCS, Wipro, Infosys, TIL, TVS Motors etc. have picked up more
than 250 of the students. The details of the forum may be

Shri Pratul Ch. Kalita is the Institute Coordinator of the
forum.
The institute has involved with the felicitation cum evaluation
exercises of developmental project sponsored by CAPART. The
Institute has conducted evaluation exercises for more than
50 projects. These projects are of diverse nature and at different
stages of execution.
The institute faculty is regularly invited by different institutions
to assist them in conducting their training programmes and
research project. Some of the Institutions which regularly
avail the services of AIM faculty are IIE, TERI, ICM, ISTD,
K.K. Handique State Open University.
Dr. Nripendra N. Sarma, Associate Professor of AIM was invited
by IIM Lucknow to check their PGP participants on emerging
trends in rural marketing.
