Shri Shantikam Hazarika, Director of the institute said, "It is the alumni, that build the brand of any institute". He explained about the challenges the institute is facing due to internal and external environmental changes. He urged that the alumni must constantly update the institute about the present skill requirement of the industries, so that the faculty members can tune the syllabus and teaching methodology to satisfy these needs.

The interaction was very enriching and the alumni expressed their wish to meet on a regular basis.
